Top KLR Tips & Mini Mods

This is a list of minor changes and upgrades over and above all the major mods and farkels that I have done and also some tips that I have found useful. These changes are minute and easy to do and do not require a full expoze but are still worth mentioning. I will add to this list as time goes on, so check back often.

• Light bulb Xenon light bulbs change from warm white (yellow) to Pure white

• Mini blade fuses:

Keep a packet of these fuses on the bike at all times as these fuses are usually hard to come by at the side of the road or in the middle of nowhere.

• Shrink tubing is your friend and keeps connections neat and safe

• A good set of ratchet straps for securing your KLR whilst transporting is a definite must

Handy tie down straps, with quick release

• Get yourself a mini air pump to keep those tires at just the correct pressure.

• Reflective tape is a good way of making yourself more visible to other road users. Stick a few pieces around the bike but don't go overboard.

• The blind spot mirrors are very handy when changing lanes but is not 100% guarantee that another vehicle is is not in your blind spot and you should therefore also check by turning your head. These tiny mirrors have are always making me aware of someone creeping up on me on the freeway.
