KLR650 Brake lights upgrade
The brake lights on this bike leaves much to be desired and if the thought of someone rear ending you is not constantly on your mind then you have not seen yourself from behind.
Do yourself a favor and buy a supper bright LED replacement bulb for your tail light as this will be way more brighter than stock and will also free up extra watts to be used for other purposes (heated vests, heated grips ext.). It is a simple plug out and plug in mod and takes less then 1 min. I am looking around for alliminium reflective tape to line the inside of the tail light casing to replace the dull looking stock one but I have not found any yet.
If you have a GIVI Top box like I do and you also did not opt to take the box that has built in running and brake lights, then you can simply install an LED strip yourself and connect it to the tail light wiring.
I picked up this very nice brake light bar and decided to install this in the same manner and the below picture at night shows just how much more powerful this LED brake light bar is compared to the stock lighting.
