Mounting an emergency Tyreweld canister on a KLR650
The Tyreweld is a useful tool to be used in case you are stranded in the middle of no where and there is no immediate help at hand.
This stuff can get you out of some pretty hairy situations when your options are limited.
Thing is that the canister is a little on the large size and if you put it in your top box then it wastes a lot of space and you end up leaving home without it.
I believe i have found what i believe to be a tucked away spot on the bike to mount and forget about it until the day that you need it.
I used two hose clamps to attach the light weight canister to the radiator guard on the right hand side of the bike.
The spot where I mounted it is located away from any heat from the radiator.
If i where to take this bike off road exploring then I would consider wrapping the canister in some form of durable material and since you never know when you might require the occasional off-road experience due to zombie apocalypse or the like, i have added a piece of rubber just in case. I used a piece of rubber cut from an old car floor mat that was on its way to the trash can.
Pictures below are with the rubber installed for protection.
